We are into the 2nd Trimester and I am starting to feel so much better. I have days when I'm tired and can't think of anything other than nap time, but those days are now few and far between. This trimester has been filled with a few weeks of horrid headaches. When I was pregnant with McKinley I had a horrible headache that hung around for 3 weeks. I just couldn't shake it. My wonderful Dr. finally gave me some medicine to help out. The only problem is that it knocks me out. Not a great thing when you have a toddler running around. However, this time around I wasn't willing to take the chance it would go on for so long. I can't function with these headaches. So, I called the Dr and she sent me something right away. Although they lasted a few weeks, this time I had backup to use when I couldn't handle it any longer. I'm excited with the fact that I've not had a headache of any kind in awhile now.
On a much happier note, around the first of April I started feeling Lil' Pea fluttering around. This was around the start of week 16. There is nothing more exciting then the first time you truly know your baby is jumping around.
According to my pregnancy calendar this week Lil' Pea is about the size of an avacado and fat is forming under the baby's skin. I have to say that I LOVE fat babies. I have not had a fat baby yet! =) I've had to worry about making sure that the girls were constantly wrapped up and kept warm. I'm praying for a fat little baby. =) Although, I'm not really thinking I'll end up with one. I have my next appointment on Tuesday. I'm excited once again to hear the heartbeat. The next appointment after that is the big ultrasound. We are about 2 weeks away from finding out. I'm very excited and anxious to find out what we are blessed with. Chris and I are locked in on our boy name, but for a girl there are lots of names we are tossing around. That will be a different post later.
But for now I'll leave you with a 17 week picture. Aby took this picture so the angle is a little off =) But she was really excited to take it.
