2 BFF's + 1 Sleep Over = 2 Much Fun!!!

Right before we left for our vacation, we had another first at our house!
Aby had her first sleepover. Aby has spent the night away from home a lot in her short 5 years, but never has she had a sleepover with her super sweet BFF, Gomer. These girls have been best buds (or baby buds as they say) since they were about 8 months old. It was only a matter of time before this day arrived. Both girls were more than excited and I'm pretty sure that Jessica and I were just as excited as they were.

They jumped right out of their clothes and into dress up clothes. This is pretty typical for them!!

Then after McKinley woke up from her nap they all wanted to go out and swim. We set up our little pool and McKinley's sprinkler pool. None of the girls were too interested in the regular pool. =)

Then we had dinner alfresco!!! They certainly worked up an appetite.

After a little more swim time it was nearing bed time. McKinley didn't quite understand why she didn't get to sleep with the big girls. Such a tough life for the little sister. Aby and Gomer were very good about including her throughout most of the evening. The girls chose a movie and snuggled up in bed.

It was quite late before they actually settled down and went to sleep. I'd say it was around 11. There were several quotes throughout the evening that had Chris and I laughing. The girls had talked about how they had known each other for a long time. Aby piped up and said," We'll be best friends forever." To which Gomer replied,"Yes, we'll never break up!" After their movie was over they just couldn't quite make themselves go to sleep. They got out of bed to come tell Chris that they really wanted to go to sleep, they just couldn't quit talking!!! If they can't go to sleep now, think how it will be when they are in Jr. high and high school!!!! Then when I went in to check on them, they both were complaining they couldn't go to sleep because there wasn't enough room in the bed. These girls crack me up. They are so full of life and energy. I always look forward to them getting together because you just never know what they are going to do next!!! I am definitely looking forward to more sleep overs with these two "baby buds"!!!
